Welcome to 7seven eggs art studio classes for kids. I am excited to share my art expertise and teaching skills with your child!
7seven eggs classes are about the fun of seeing everyday objects in a new way and learning how to express that with a wide variety of art-making materials. Classes are held in my art studio on Union Square where children will have the opportunity to explore techniques and approaches to making art.
I was born in Brooklyn and while still in elementary school, attended drawing classes at the Brooklyn Museum in high school, I spent Saturday mornings drawing at Pratt Institute. I majored in art at Hunter College and went on to earn my graduate degree in Fine Art and Early Childhood Education. I am licensed by the DOE and am an experienced classroom teacher. I am a skilled literacy instructor and taught classes for the Learning To Read Through The Arts program. I also presented art workshops in Nassau county Schools and at the Lexington Avenue YMCA.
As a professional artist, I was awarded a public art commission by Jacksonville Fl. International Airport where my two permanent mosaic tile installations can be seen. I was a finalist for an MTA subway art installation. I am a recipient of a Fellowship at the National Academy of Arts and a NYState Council on the Arts Grant. I am also the recipient of the Ludwig Vogelstein grant, a George Sugarman award, and a NY Foundation for the Arts award. My museum exhibitions include the Queens Museum, The Islip NY Museum, The National Academy of Art Museum, the museum in Katonah NY and the Alben Polosek Museum , Winter Park, Fl. My work is collected by the Museum of American Folk Arts, AT&T, City University of NY Art Gallery, Citicorp, and Columbia Pictures, and The 9-11 Museum and private collections.
